NAMI Barrington Area Family Support Groups & Connection
Recovery Support Group
Support groups focus on the
sharing of our personal stories and drawing upon the collective
wisdom of the group.
Support groups can be very helpful, especially for those going
through a crisis.
Pre-registration is not required
to attend support groups.
There is no cost to attend these
support groups.
All groups are
confidential -
participants can share as much or as little personal information
as they wish.

Weekly Family Support
Group meeting
NAMI
Family Support Groups are support groups run by the
family members of persons who live with mental
illness for other friends and family members of
persons living with a mental illness. These groups
provide a place that offers respect, understanding,
encouragement, and hope. They offer a casual
and relaxed approach to sharing the challenges and
successes of coping with a loved one living with a
mental illness.
WHEN: Every Thursday
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Weekly NAMI Connection Recovery Support Group
NAMI Connection is a weekly recovery support group for people
living with mental illness in which people learn from each
others’ experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each
other encouragement and understanding.
WHEN: Every Thursday

Weekly
NAMI PACT
Support Groups for Parents and Younger Teens
Our NAMI PACT
offering is a dual group, one for parents of younger
teens (consumers 10 or over), and one for the teenagers. Natural and adoptive parents are
welcome as well as other caregivers.
WHEN: First and Third Friday of each month
7:00 - 9:00 p.m.

Monthly Support Group for
Spouses Or Significant Others
NAMI Barrington Area will
begin offering a new support group in December for the
Spouses or Significant others of loved ones with
Mental Illness and we would like you to join us.
This support group will be led by spouses of persons who live with mental
illness. This support group will
provide a place that offers respect, understanding,
encouragement, and hope and will offer a casual
and relaxed approach to sharing the challenges and
successes of coping with a loved one living with a
mental illness.
We will meet the first Monday of each month. Like our other support groups, there
is no charge to attend and no need to make a
reservation. The Spouses, and Significant Others, of
loved ones with Mental illness are welcome to join us.
WHEN: First Monday of each month (Starting
December 5th, 2011)
6:30 - 8:30 p.m.
